Gowan Auto has announced the appointment of Alan Kilroy (FCA) as the new Managing Director for Peugeot and DS Automobiles in Ireland, effective immediately.
Alan transitions into this leadership role from his position as Finance Director at Gowan Auto, bringing extensive experience, brand expertise, and strategic insight.
A native of Tipperary, Alan graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Grant Thornton in 2004. His international career included roles with the Commonwealth Bank in Sydney and Deloitte in New York, before returning to Ireland in 2005 to join Gowan Group as Group Accountant.
In 2013, Alan was appointed Financial Controller for Peugeot at Gowan Distributors and later became Head of Finance for the brand. Since 2020, he has served as Finance Director across all Gowan Auto brands, where he played a key role in financial strategy and relationship-building with the dealer network, Stellantis, and other stakeholders.

Alan brings a wealth of experience from his 20-year career within the Gowan Group, having held senior roles in finance and brand management. His leadership is expected to guide Peugeot and DS Automobiles in Ireland through an ambitious growth phase, with a focus on innovation and sustainability.
Based in County Wicklow with his wife Amber and their two young children, Alan is also a keen golfer, cyclist, and dedicated sports fan. His combination of professional expertise and passion for the automotive industry positions him strongly to lead the brands into their next chapter.
