Opel is celebrating a significant achievement as the one millionth unit of the current-generation Corsa F has rolled off the production line at the Zaragoza plant in Spain. First launched in 2019, the Corsa continues to be a bestseller across Europe, available in petrol, hybrid, and all-electric versions.
The model’s popularity shows no sign of slowing, with registrations in Europe rising by 18% in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the previous quarter. Since the debut of the very first Corsa in 1982, nearly 15 million units have been sold worldwide, cementing its reputation as one of Opel’s most important models.
Florian Huettl, Opel CEO and Managing Director Stellantis Germany, commented: “Our Corsa is a proven bestseller. The fabrication of the one millionth Corsa of the current generation demonstrates that customers simply really love our small car. With its fresh design, affordable top technologies and high flexibility packed in compact dimensions, it appeals to the most diverse groups of customers. This unique combination makes it a fundamental guarantee for success in our portfolio.”
The Opel Corsa continues to impress with its bold design and versatile drivetrains. Featuring the signature Opel Vizor front face and a sporty silhouette, the Corsa stands out in the compact car segment while offering room for up to five people. It also comes equipped with premium technologies, such as the adaptive Intelli-Lux Matrix light, which ensures a comfortable and safe driving experience with its glare-free headlights.
The Corsa offers a wide range of powertrains to suit every driver, from fully electric variants to modern hybrids with 48-volt technology and efficient combustion engines. The Corsa Electric, now equipped with a 51kWh battery and a 115kW (156hp) motor, delivers a WLTP range of up to 429 km on a full charge—an improvement of nearly 6%, or up to 24 km more than before.
Notably, the Corsa has held its place as Germany’s bestselling small car for four years and was the top-seller in its segment in the UK for three consecutive years (2021–2023).
In Ireland, the new 252-registration plate for the Opel Corsa will be available this July, with three trim options: SC, Elegance, and GS. Starting from €210 per month with a 2.52% APR finance offer, customers can also benefit from Opel’s €1,000 Trade Up booster.
