Opel has expanded its latest Mokka lineup with the introduction of a fully electric version, joining the existing petrol and hybrid models. Following a refresh earlier this year, the new Mokka Electric brings improved efficiency and range, while keeping weight in check at 1,615 kg — lighter than many rivals.
The previous-generation Mokka EV offered a claimed 324 km on a single charge. The latest model stretches that figure to 403 km, though—as with all EVs—real-world performance will ultimately depend on driving conditions.
Pricing for the entry-level Mokka Electric starts at €30,227 after grants, making it one of the more affordable options in Europe’s growing electric car market. For context, that’s just below the price of the petrol-powered manual version.
Power comes from a 54 kWh battery paired with a 115 kW motor, with the battery pack now located beneath the floor to maximize cabin space.
Standard equipment is generous, including:
-
16-inch wheels
-
Lane departure warning with active assist
-
Traffic sign recognition
-
Forward collision alert with enhanced emergency braking (including pedestrian detection)
-
Driver drowsiness alert
-
Cruise control with intelligent speed limiter
-
Six airbags and electronic climate control
Inside, drivers get a 10-inch digital cluster alongside a 10-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. USB-C connectivity, DAB radio, auto high-beam assist, rain-sensing wipers, and rear park assist are also standard.
For those seeking more features, Opel offers higher trims:
-
Elegance (€32,570): Adds 17-inch alloys, heated front seats and steering wheel, keyless entry and start, adaptive cruise control, blind spot alert, and a 180-degree panoramic rear camera.
-
GS (€33,975): Tops the range with matrix LED headlights, 18-inch wheels, and additional premium touches.
